When you need a solicitor
Optional handoff goes to an independent solicitor. Their fees are separate from documentation pack prices.
Typically covers reviewing your materials, settling the letter of demand and court documents, and filing. Exact inclusions and quote are confirmed by the lawyer before you engage.
Often used for court attendances, contested directions, negotiations, substituted service applications, and other work outside a fixed-fee scope. Rates depend on the servicing lawyer.
A handoff request does not create a retainer by itself. The professional relationship, costs agreement, advice, and legal services are with the law firm that accepts your matter, not with Small Claims Hub.
